Here you will find over 80 up to date IC COSHH forms that have been written by your colleagues. You are welcome to download any that are relevant to your work. However, there are some conditions that apply.

1) If this initiative is to succeed, then you must please contribute as well as download COSHH forms. Send them (individually, word (.doc) format) by email to Peter. A hall of fame of contributors will be kept. If you write just 2 forms, then that's a decent contribution. Endless lists of individual chemicals are not that useful at this early stage, although the really nasty ones we all need. What is critical are overall procedures, and many of you have done those so thanks! Keep it going!

2) You accept that any errors and/or omissions in the COSHH forms are no-one else's responsibility but your own. If you spot a mistake, then email Peter with a correction. Peter and the authors accept no responsibility for the accuracy of the information in these forms. If you have any queries, then email Ian Hackford

3) By downloading and signing the COSHH forms, you fully accept that you have read and understood them. This is very important.

4) This initiative has been setup to streamline and improve the distribution and accessibility of COSHH forms locally. We believe that safety is paramount, but also that efficiency, and effective use of technology and resources are important and should make a useful contribution. However this initiative is not approved by the IC Safety Unit. The use of this website and its contents is entirely at your own risk. If in doubt, contact the safety officer Ian Hackford

5) You can now also have a personal copy of the Departmental Safety Book, although there should be a hard-copy in your lab. You've never had it so good.

6) If you want some safety data sheets from the Sigma.com site, you can enter using the username "immunology2002" and the password "lechler2002" (all lowercase). You need to enter the login area before you can access the MSDS forms.

7) If you accept these conditions, then scroll on down. If you don't find what you need, write it asap and send it to Peter. If you don't think COSHH forms are important, then think what might happen if you didn't carefully observe this one, picked at random from the many received: Safe Use of The Toilet For Number Twos (Going For A C**p) Scary eh? • But wait, there's more!! Thanks to Bill for finding all these COSHH forms from another University. You'll need to make official IC ones I think, and of course the information needs to be checked for accuracy, which is your responsiblity. But all have IC headers, so potentially very useful. Please send in forms as word documents. Don't be selfish and expect others to do everything for you. Thats all folks!
